This fireplace surround uses layers of bronze mesh stretched taunt between frames to create a visual centerpiece to a living area.  It is desired to balance crisp modernism with a more textured decor.  A bronze and glass mantle forms a strong horizontal contrast to the vertical composition, and it's asymmetrical positioning balances the draped bronze fire screen that hangs to the side when not in use.
